Off the coast of Africa, on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, two cosmic characters journey across volcanic landscapes in search of the modernist oddities of Canarian artist, architect, and activist César Manrique (1919-92). Dressed in Manrique-inspired bohemian attire, they explore craters, lava fields, and volcanic beaches, discovering his otherworldly legacy.

In their photographic essay, Lanzarote, Bird and Adams reimagine Manrique’s paradise with two cartoon-like protagonists who perform a playful rediscovery of Lanzarote’s landscape.

Enjoy an after-hours viewing of House Show, followed by a talk by architect artist Matthew Bird and choreographer artist Phillip Adams.
