Red Chilli House
Red Chilli House is a Southern Chinese restaurant newly opened in a historic building in Chinatown.
The menu draws influence from areas around the region including Hunan, Sichuan and Chongqing. The restaurant specialises in 'jiang hu cai', a distinctive cuisine from the city characterised by its heavy use of chilli and peppercorn and its bold, unique flavours.
Menu highlights include lava tofu, sauerkraut fish, signature yabby noodles and stir-fried rabbit.
To drink, customers can choose from Chinese beer, tea or soft drinks – or they can BYO for $5 per head.
