Comedy superstar trio Sooshi Mango, best known for their much loved ethnic dads characters, Johnny, Vince and Sam, have opened a traditional Italian restaurant.

Johnny, Vince and Sam’s Ristorante in Lygon Street uses the old world charm that Sooshi Mango is famous for, and translates it into Italian recipes, décor and ambiance.

The comedians behind the concept, Australian-Italian brothers Joe and Carlo Salanitri and their best friend Andrew Manfre, have replicated the feeling of eating at your Nonna’s house, complete with décor befitting any traditional Italian home.

The menu for their first restaurant has been designed by award winning Italian chef, Johnny Di Francesco of 400 Gradi. Renowned for his authentic Italian cuisine and for winning the title of Australia’s Best Pizza, Johnny has worked with the Sooshi Mango boys to create a menu that takes food seriously, without losing the fun of the concept or the people behind it.
